The Middle and Upper School is a structured Academic program combining remedial and grade level content for students with diagnosed learning differences, grades 7-12. Teachers employ direct instruction within classes of 8-12 students to remediate skills in academic deficit areas, develop compensatory strategies to accommodate personal learning needs and promote self-advocacy skills to ensure that those needs are met. Each student is offered an array of electives and activities such as student council, drama, business skills, art, yearbook and athletics. At Briarwood, 85% of our graduates attend schools of higher learning.
